2011年国際研究交流大学村フォトコンテスト　入賞作品決定！

　「新たな一歩」をテーマに東京国際交流館に居住する留学生、日本人学生と、
国際研究交流大学村に勤務するスタッフが撮影した写真作品（全49作品）より
来場者のみなさまの投票ならびに審査員の選考により入賞作品が決定いたしました。

Our lives are but a continous journey towards the fulfillment of our dreams.
We converge from the bottom and we climb to the top.
There are many of us from the start but only a few reaches the top.
And those who reach the fulfillment of theri dreams are those who dare to take always a new step forward..

海浜公園で行われたイベント。蝋燭一本一本に込められた大切な思い思い。

Amidst all the hardships and trials Japan is facing, new step forward for is necessary for the sake of their children and the next generations to come.

「The peaceful moment before floating of lanterns
（灯ろうを浮かべる前の静かなひととき）」

Buddhist Monks are preparing to float hundreds of little paper lanterns with lighted candles on the water. The lantern-floating event was held on the last evening of the Obon festival in order to guide the ancestral spirits back to the other world.

「 The baby crawling on the sand
（砂浜で遊ぶ赤ちゃん）」　
ゼイナブ　ナザリ（イラン）

He was born here in Japan Tokyo TIEC. He wear Yukata while he is enjoying to play with sand near the Odaiba beach.

「 The green of life, the source of hope
（生命の緑、希望の源）」　
ワンヤーテイン（中国）

This summar from Aug 4th to 8th I went to IWATE of east Japan as a volunteer with other 6 members of ACC21 to participate support activities. We had a short break in a primary school near the fishing port when we sorted building ruins and cleaned up a route for walking in the disaster area. The framework of the school with more than 100 years history monument still stood mightily in the wind of ocean. In the abandoned classroom, I saw a small green leaf tenaciously growing up from the tsunami mud of washbasin . It was tiny and weak but so viable which touched me deeply. The green was light of life and source of hope.

入園式の帰りに、TIECのお庭で。タンポポが沢山咲いてあるお庭で、子供達と楽しいひと時。

私たちの元気が震災の復興に希望をもたらすように…

夕方頃にお台場で取った写真。いくら乗り越えられないと思えることがあっても、空を見ると勇気を与えてくれる。今日はこれで終わり。新たな姿で新たな一日を迎えてみよう。

都会育ちの人間が海に恐れず新たな一歩を踏み出す。その勇気は新たな希望にも繋ぐ。

東北地方からの帰り道、空が力強い復興の意思を示しているようであった。
